FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the educational background of your teachers?
All of our teachers have a minimum of an AA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, and most possess a BA along with the teaching permits.
How can I learn more about the school?
The best way to learn about the school and its programs is to come in for a tour. Appointments are required.
How safe and secure is your campus?
We have a full security system in place with a coded entry and safety cameras monitoring the parking lots and outdoor spaces. Only families of enrolled students have the access keys to the front door and all other gates have security alarms.
When does your school term start and finish?
We begin our school term in August and end in June, with one month off in July for Summer school.
What are the tuition payment options?
We have both monthly and annual payment options available, however we ask all parents to commit a 11-month (Aug-June) tuition contract before starting.
We offer 5% tuition discount for the annual payment option.
Can parents come in to observe the class?
Our Open Door policy allows for parents to come in to observe their child’s classroom, but we ask that they keep the observation brief (up to 20 minutes) and be as unobtrusive and distracting to the children as possible.
How ready are your students for school by the time they graduate?
At Stepping Stones we've developed our own Phonics and Math curriculum. It’s been so successful that we always have parents and community members talking about how our graduates are thriving in the local elementary schools. By the end of Pre-Kindergarten, the vast majority of our students are reading simple books. For our Kindergarten graduates, they have typically grasped the majority of the California State Standards for First Grade.
